Who Knew Judy Had Pet Peeves: What's at the Root of Yours?

Judy heard someone promise to "share-out" some information to business stakeholders. She wondered if people actually shared information inwards? If not, then why was it necessary to include the fact that the information was being shared out-wards? It didn't sit well with her; it felt something akin to nails on a chalkboard for other people.

She also didn't relish when those close to her would respond to her request with "I don't have time?" She would tell them, "don't we all the same amount of time: 24 hr x 7 days per week? Isn't it really about what's important to one person versus another, and how they choose to prioritize what they do with their (available) time?"

Also, Judy found herself contemplating "why resalers (like some of those on Amazon) request that you submit your product reviews promptly after receiving the merchandise and before you have even had a reasonable timeframe to test out their product/your new purchase? Is it possible they want you to post your review before you really have a chance to find the flaws in the product? Judy understood that people were less likely to (remember to) post reviews with the passage of time, but she had never liked being pressured to respond on the spot.

Judy finds the next two scenarios especially irksome and frustrating:

  • Why do people still leave their children and pets locked in vehicles, especially during the hotter months?

  • Why are there so many surrendered and homeless pets? Why are people still taking on pets that they cannot commit to caring for at least 10 - 15 years?

In this post, Judy solicits feedback about your pet peeves: what they are and why they bother you.

And soon we will all know.
